Baking Cookies + Bible Studies

Baking Cookies for the 1st time!

The other day I decided to make cookies for the kids at Niños en Victoria for a treat after Bible Study.  So I brought over 3 of the boys from the orphanage to help me.  They had never made cookies before, so it was a lot of fun to teach them!  I was planning on making my dad's famous chocolate chip cookies, but I couldn't find chocolate chips in Mexico!  Crazy, right?  So we decided to make sugar cookies.  The kids had a blast, check out the pictures below!  It was a lot of fun talking with the kids while making cookies about how creative God is.  Looking at how different all of the ingredients are that go into making a cookie and seeing how each cookie comes out of the oven differently we were able to talk about how creative God is in making each of us so different and special.

We have been having a blast giving Bible Studies at Niños en Victoria.  We have learned so much about working/teaching kids through doing these Bible Studies at the two orphanages.  The two orphanages are very different and the kids in each orphanage are just as different, so we have to organize the studies differently which is teaching us how to be flexible and creative!
